There has been a recent change announced by the Immigration Bureau in Bangkok. Since March 28th 2019, the so-called Notification of Residence of Foreigners form (TM30) must be submitted before applying for a visa extension. Applications with no official receipt of the form will be rejected by the officers.
For now, the amendment has only come into effect in Bangkok, however, it might be expanded throughout Thailand in the future.
This recent change will affect landlords who need to report requirements in Bangkok and any individual submitting a visa extension application.
Furthermore, employers should keep in mind that the TM30 form has to be filed before applying for an extension.THA
